It is always a good thing to check the weather. We WILL NOT operate under certain conditions.

Weather is a major factor when determining when to be open or closed. If there are winds over 15 mph we do not put anyone out on the water for their safety, and the ability to make it back to the office, or someplace safe.  We prefer the wind to be less than 15 mph for kayaks and 12 mph for SUPs. We also do not put people on the water if there is lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes, torrential rain, fish die-offs, flooding, tsunamis, or any type of weather condition that could cause harm to you or your group.  We will always take the side of safety.

We will definitely be closed if there are any of the following events.

  • Wind higher than 12 mph for SUPs
  • Wind higher than  15 mph for Kayaks
  • Lightning
  • Thunder
  • Tornadoes
  • Water Spouts
  • Hurricanes
  • Tropical Storms
  • Rain
  • Flooding
  • Fish Die-Offs
  • Hail
  • Sleet
  • Snow
  • Bacteria over the recommended amount
  • Tsunamis
  • Heavy Boat Traffic
  • War on our own soil
  • UN invasion
  • Aliens etc.

Please check the local area weather before making plans.  Accuracy may vary.  It is usually a good idea to check a couple of different sources for weather data.
