Armand Bayou is an estuary. Which means it is where a lot of fish spawn for protection and then work their way to their adult habitat. This makes this area a very important place to protect. Many fish that start out their life here, end up on your plate or as food for the fish we eat from the gulf. Armand Bayou plays a very important role in a variety of different species survival.
